BizPricer®

Comparison Table of BizPricer® Features

Which BizPricer Version is Best for You?

This is a Comparison Table of BizPricer® features to help you choose between the two available versions. Both the Excel and Wizard versions will calculate the exact same valuation based on the same input data. Either of the BizPricer™ versions will provide easy, fast, and accurate results using a proprietary method of valuation calculation. Both of the versions will reside on your computer so you don’t take the risk of having your sensitive business information compromised by using a software product which runs online. Also, both versions allow unlimited numbers of valuations to be prepared and saved (this feature is great for doing what-if analyses and projections). The key differences are listed below:

Version "E" 4.0 - BizPricer Excel Version "W" 4.0 - BizPricer Wizard
BizPricer-E uses the MS Excel® and Word® programs you must already have installed on your computer. BizPricer-W is a stand-alone installable program that will run on any PC with any version of MS Windows®. No requirement for any other program.
BizPricer-E works with both the MAC and PC computers and will provide exactly the same valuation result as the BizPricer-W. BizPricer-W works with a PC computer only and will provide exactly the same valuation result as the BizPricer-E.
BizPricer-E uses less than 1MB of hard disk space and is fast to download with any type of Internet connection. BizPricer-W uses 4.5 MB of hard disk space and takes 20 seconds to download with a high-speed Internet connection.
When using the BizPricer-E, data is entered into MS Excel® spreadsheets and text is separately entered into MS Word® documents. Calculated financial data is automatically transferred between the Excel® spreadsheets but must be manually entered into the MS Word® Templates (which are provided). When using the BizPricer-W, data is entered into screens custom-designed for ease of use and automation (automatic feed-through of administrative data to the Reports, automatic Note creation on the Income & Expense Reconstruction, automatic transfer of calculated results to the Reports, etc.).
BizPricer-E valuation reports require more editing than BizPricer-W and also require manual assembly of the pages into a completed printed document. BizPricer-E offers more flexibility and user involvement in the creation of a Report and is limited only by the capability of the MS Excel/Word programs. BizPricer-W valuation Reports are automatically assembled for printing using the data provided. The Letter Report is ready to print after the financial data is entered and the Prospectus Report is ready to print after on-screen text entry/editing. BizPricer-W Report preparation capabilities are limited by reduced options for font selection, color, and page layout but the results are professional appearing Reports.
BizPricer-E comes with a 20-page Manual that users should read first and refer to later in the valuation process. You may print it for easy reference if you wish. Email assistance is always available. BizPricer-W uses a “just in time information” system to provide you with instructions when and if you need them. Every screen has a “Read Me First” and “Help” button that presents information tailored to that specific screen. Also, many screens have Examples and all screens provide an online FAQ capability. No separate Manual is required. Email assistance is always available.
In BizPricer-E standard Excel® and Word® functions are used to preview and print the Report. Financial data entry/calculation pages are independent of text pages.

In BizPricer-W a Print/Preview function allows you to review the entire Report before printing, or page by page, or section by section. You will be able to see/edit the entire Report as a completed document before printing.

BizPricer-E provides examples of a business valuation and other information, such as sample Notes to explain adjustments to the Income and Expense Reconstruction worksheets. BizPricer-W provides on-screen examples of business valuations, sample Notes to explain adjustments to the Income and Expense Reconstruction worksheets plus a first-time user Tutorial and online FAQ’s.
In BizPricer-E all the flexibility and tools of MS Excel® and Word® are available to knowledgeable users to adapt BizPricer® Reports to any extraordinary needs. BizPricer-W provides all the capability needed to create fast, accurate, and professionally formatted business valuations. No knowledge of spreadsheet programs is required and minimal knowledge of text programs is needed (cut, copy and paste capabilities are about all you need to know).
In BizPricer-E the user can apply the various MS Excel® and Word® capabilities to create duplicate copies of a valuation for transfer between computers by email, ftp and removable media. The data in Valuations developed with BizPricerE will not transfer to BizPricerW.

There are no limits to the number of valuations you can create.
In BizPricer-W business valuations created are electronically transferable between different computers. Valuations may be saved to disk, emailed as MS Word documents or BizPricerW format files which can be imported into other BizPricerW 4.0 programs. The data in Valuations developed with BizPricerE will not transfer to BizPricerW.
